For fast and accurate data acquisition such as ballistics test, rocket engine tests the Saturn offers a fast and flexible transient recorder with ultra long memories (1GB). The engine can run full speed for minutes while the Saturn system captures the data for hundreds of channels in parallel. The hardware is flexible to adjust to the needs of the test. The modules operate either in 100,000,000 Samples / second in a single channel fully differential mode at 14 bits resolution or you can set-up the module in a quad mode (4 differential channels operating at maximum sample rate of 25,000,000 S/s). If these speeds are too fast you can go for the 16 channel module with maximum speed of 1MS/s and sample as slow as 1 S/s and the bandwidth adjusts automatically by the combination of a programmable 8 pole analogue filter and digital FIR filters in the channel DSP.
With handy bit enhancement DSP code the resolution can be enhanced up to 24 bits depending on the used sample rate. The Saturn comes is two rack versions. The full 19 inch version that has 15 free modules slots for a maximum of 240 channel (16 channels per slot). The Tower model with 6 free slots can hold 96 data acquisition channels.

The AMO comes with optional lightning impulse software calculating the T1, T2, Vp of lightning impulse waveform to IEC 60, IEC 61083, IEEE 4, IEEE 1122, IEEE 1223 specifications. It compares full and reduced voltage. In one compact rugged instrument, you can measure, analyze, store and custom document your impulse testing with all the flexibility of a networked PC.
